Sports seat for German car manufacturer
The task was to design a light sports seat based on the existing series structure. The only specified design change was the integration of a new headrest.
All development steps were carried out in-house – from the initial draft to the final model. All milestones were presented regularly and agreed upon with the customer.
Our scope of services included:
· Concept phase: Initial design ideas, conceptual approaches, and alternatives.
· 2D elaboration: Detailed drawings, layouts, and design refinements.
· 3D implementation of the designs in data models for model construction and structural analyses.
· Structural modifications: Adjustments to the existing series structure to integrate the headrest.
Model construction:
· CNC milling of the foam parts.
· All upholstery work.
· Construction and finishing of the complete functional and design model. Two models, cost-optimized and luxurious.
The result was a sporty seat typical of the brand that more than met both the technical requirements and the customer’s design expectations.
