A New Kind of Moped
Sometimes the best ideas come from the street. We increasingly noticed young people stripping old mopeds of all their bodywork, leaving only the essentials. This observation sparked a bold vision: a production moped designed from the outset to eliminate everything unnecessary.
From the first sketches and CAD models through to high-quality renderings, we developed an uncompromising vehicle concept. The result impressed Sachs so much that we were commissioned to build a full-scale show model.
The response was overwhelming. The Sachs MadAss became a true cult vehicle and generated enormous attention for the company. Its greatest success, however, came in China, where numerous manufacturers copied the concept – some of them were later even awarded the Plagiarius, a negative award for product piracy. There is hardly a clearer sign of the impact and success of an idea.
