MAN Municipal Vehicle with Low Entry
MAN expected only relatively low production volumes for the new municipal vehicle. Production investment therefore had to be kept to a minimum. The British manufacturer Dennis Eagle was selected as the production partner.
Target Design developed the vehicle design and supported its implementation at the manufacturer. To avoid the costly tooling required for deep-drawn components, the roof and front bodywork were manufactured from GRP (glass-fibre-reinforced plastic). At the same time, this production method gave us the freedom needed to consistently integrate MAN’s characteristic design elements and brand identity into the vehicle.
The result was a distinctive municipal vehicle with a clear MAN identity, despite the limitations of the available manufacturing processes.
