Duscha Handy

Hüppe wanted to enter the shower market with a hand shower – a market already considered saturated. The situation was clear: almost all hand showers looked the same. A cylindrical body with a handle, barely distinguishable from the competition.

To minimise the risk, Hüppe commissioned two design studios. While our competitor presented several variations of the established concept, we questioned the principle itself. Based on the existing technical components, we developed a form in which the handle and water outlet merge into a single ergonomic and harmonious unit.

The result immediately convinced Hüppe. They chose our design and subsequently entrusted us with all of the company’s design projects.

The Duscha Handy became a highlight at ISH. Its distinctive appearance brought fresh momentum to a market that had previously been highly uniform. At the following ISH, numerous established manufacturers were presenting hand showers that had moved significantly away from the classic cylindrical body with handle – a clear indication of how strongly the new design language had influenced the market.
