Dynafit TLT Speed
From an Idea to the First Design Concept
A design project does not always begin with an extensive brief. Sometimes, all it takes is a conversation and a quick sketch.
When the TLT Speed project began, chief engineer E. L. already had a very clear vision of the technical specifications for the new product. During the briefing, he sketched out his ideas directly on a sheet of paper. That was all we needed to get started – he knew that his ideas were in good hands with us.

The TLT Speed was intended to replace a highly successful touring binding that had helped make Dynafit the global market leader. The expectations were therefore high: the new product had to deliver convincing technical performance while also establishing a distinctive evolution of the existing design language.
Our early design already clearly demonstrates how we translated the ideas from the briefing into a concrete design language. This drawing became the basis for the next joint meeting – and ultimately for the further journey from the initial idea to the new production product.
